Giving Arts Workshop
The Giving Arts Studio Workshop provides hands-on opportunities for children to creatively explore compassionate feelings about others, learning about giving and have a way to express themselves through art and visual communication.
Our workshops support Character Education curricula and promote:
- Empathy
- Teamwork
- Creativity
- Choosing and championing causes
- Global and multicultural exchanges
Workshop description:
- Two hour workshop
- Introduction and discussion about empathy and giving
- Creative brainstorming
- Hands-on art project: Giving Arts charity box
- Hands-on art project: Peace Tiles collaborative mural project
- $200 workshop + $8.25 per person fee for materials and supplies. Max 30 students per workshop.
Who benefits from our workshops?
- We offer tailored, age appropriate presentations and work with a variety of groups including pre-K - Grade 8; Teen mentoring programs; adults only workshops and multigenerational workshops
- Workshops are designed for public, private and faith-based schools; Sunday school programs; organizations; community and after-school programs; camps and more.
- Conference and teacher training programs available.
- Initial focus on local implementation in New Jersey; Please inquire about additional locations.
Can I sponsor a workshop?
Yes, absolutely! We offer underwriting opportunities for individual philanthropists and socially responsible corporate partners to directly support hands-on programs for children that teach empathy, giving, helping make the world a better place. This program is designed to offset the often-prohibitive costs of implementing exciting new projects in schools that may otherwise not be able to afford them. Sponsors may also support other community opportunities such as intergenerational programs at retirement homes, after-school activities and innovative fundraising drives.
If you choose to support our programs as a sponsor, we guarantee:
- all sponsor donations will be directly matched to children, schools and other educational programs for immediate benefit
- 10% of all sponsor donations will be directly allocated to charitable causes [recipient(s) may be requested by sponsor or by participating school]
- Privacy issues will be upheld.
- We accept and protect anonymous sponsors and requests.
